About Journey Through Time
Journey Through Time is an original choreography that displays the evolution of Armenian history depicted by dance, music, poetry and storytelling. The production takes you on a journey through pagan times, the adoption of Christianity, the battle of Vartanantz, the massacres of the Genocide, to an ultimate celebration of an independent Armenia. You will experience triumph and despair, sorrow and exuberance as you watch Armenian history come alive. The show combines classical and avant-garde movement to evoke the power of Armenian culture. Journey Through Time sets new standards for the Armenian performing arts.

Sayat Nova Dance Company (SNDC) is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2011-2012 performing season. Formed in 1986 as an independent non-profit arts organization, SNDC’s mission is to preserve and promote Armenian culture through the art of dance. Led by the artistic genius of Director/Choreographer Apo Ashjian, the Company has performed extensively in the US, Canada and Armenia. SNDC produces its music and costumes in Armenia, thus supporting the cultural development in the Motherland. Comprised of over 70 members – dancers, stage crew and support staff – Sayat Nova Dance Company is the premier dance organization in North America.
